Obituary of Harold Earl Robbins
Harold Earl Robbins, 76, of Spirit Lake, Idaho passed away September 13, 2017 at the home in Spirit Lake, ID. Harold was born August 23, 1941 in Caldwell, ID. to Elmer and Lueceile (Simpkins) Robbins.
Harold grew up in Marsing, Idaho where he attended and graduated from High School. Soon after high school he met Judith Fahey and they were later married May 14, 1960 in Caldwell, Idaho. They were married 56 years when Judith passed.
Harold began driving truck at an early age in the Caldwell / Marsing area. This was the beginning of his life long career in the trucking industry. He then went to work for Boise Cascade in Spokane, WA. and soon after transferred to Creston, WA., where he managed Boise Cascade’s trucking division. Together they raised their two daughters in Creston, WA. After Harold’s retirement from Boise Cascade, he started his own trucking company, and eventually settled in Spirit Lake, Idaho. However, Creston was always home to them.
Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping, He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a great supporter of his grandchildren through the years in attending their sporting events. Harold & Judy both looked forward to Fair time in the fall and helping the grandchildren with FFA.
He is survived by two daughter’s Tina (Tom) Niemiste of Hailey, Idaho, and Cory (Doug Primmer) Gibson of Valleyford, Washington; seven grandchildren Marcus, Adam, Kami, Austin, Kaylee, Kyle, and Mica; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Betty (Dennis) Floyd, Patsy (Larry) Kortan, brothers Roger (Dawn) Robbins, Ralph (Laurie) Robbins and numerous nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his wife Judith Robbins, mother and father Elmer and Lueceile Robbins and Kenneth Burton (cousin and best friend).
Harold will be laid to rest at Creston, WA alongside his wife Judith. The family is planning a graveside service at the Creston cemetery on October 21, 2017.
