Obituary of Sylvia Naomi Warren
Sylvia Naomi Warren, 88, of Post Falls, Idaho passed away January 10, 2018 at her home. Sylvia was born December 4, 1929 in Sausalito, California to Sylvia and Arthur Ahlstrad the youngest of three daughters.
Sylvia grew up in Spokane where she attended and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1948. She worked for the City of Spokane in Data Processing from 1967 to 1976. She later went to work for Seafirst Bank (Bank of America) in Seattle in 1976, eventually working her way to the position of Executive Vice-President/Manager, working in Data Security. Sylvia retired in 1997.
She loved to travel, camp, hike, and cross-country ski. In her later years she became an avid reader and collector of books and memorabilia concerning Native Americans and Lewis and Clark.
Sylvia is survived by one son Christopher Warren of Spokane, Washington; one daughter Julie (John) DiMeo of Mount Vernon, Washington; three grandchildren Justyn Kay DiMeo, Elizabeth Ann DiMeo, and John Robert DiMeo III; two great grand-children Kaylee DiMeo, and Jose Ibarra; and one sister Hazel Ellsworth of Spokane, Washington.
The family suggests that memorial may be made to Alzheimer’s/Dementia research.
