Obituary of Dorothy Anne Dunn

Dorothy Anne (Wilson) Dunn, "Mimie," passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 27, 2018, at the age of 95 at the Life Care Center of Post Falls, Idaho. She was surrounded by her family on her last day as she was for her entire life. 

Mimie was born in Memphis, Tennessee on the Seventh of January 1923 to Thomas Baxter Wilson and Elizabeth Bell (Jones) Wilson. While living in Memphis, Mimie worked at Sears for over thirty years where she was one of the fastest ten-key Sundstrand operators in the mail order department. Mimie lived in Memphis until 1972 when she moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her daughter, Harriett Anne and her family. Mimie learned to drive when she was forty and never looked back fearlessly making the 1425-mile trip from Phoenix to Memphis many times to visit friends and family. She was always fashionable and was a fierce B-I-N-G-O player who could manage many cards efficiently. She was fun-loving and leaves her family with many fond memories. 

She is survived by her daughter, Harriett Anne Jumper (the apple of her eye), grandchildren Srae Anita (Sax) Christensen, Sammie "Jack" Sax, III, Shi Amber (Sax) Feliciano, Donald Edward Taylor, and seven great-grandchildren, Elyssa, Jordan, Jacob, Jeff, Devin, Grace, and Zeke. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Virgil Bailey Wilson, and her sisters, Norma Alberta Tabitha Fowler, and Mary Elizabeth Hines.

Mimie will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery - Midtown in Memphis Tennessee.
