Dear April and Family
I also worked with Tony at Kootenai. It was always a pleasure to come in to talk to him on Friday morning after he had worked the night shift. It was fun to listen to him also talk about his work in the emergency department along with his stories about the family.
He will be missed by many.

I pray for the Universe to take Tony into its loving embrace and to help him remember how much he is loved by God. May he quickly find his way home.

I had the pleasure of working with Tony at Kootenai Health. What I remember most is his love for his family and the great outdoors. He was always game for good conversation. He will be missed by all who knew him. Please accept my sincere sympathies. May God bless you and keep you in his care, now and in the days to come.

I first met Tony about 12 or 13 years ago and a better friend I could not have asked or dreamed for. He was one of the most giving people I have known. And yes what a sense of humor he had. On a warm sunny day in July, during the early years of our friendship, Tony and I were hiking on a trail in the mountains looking for elk. Well nature called to me so I stopped. Tony continued down the trail a few yards past me then stopped and started mulling around. As I watered the surrounding vegetation I noticed some yellow jackets coming out of a hole in the ground right next to the trail. The yellow jacket nest was between Tony and I. I mistakenly pointed out the nest to Tony and asked him not to step on it. He immediately covered the hole with one of his feet. Knowing what was about to happen I hastened with my business. I saw Tony dig his foot a little ways into the nest. I zipped up as fast as I could and just as I was finishing up Tony took his foot off the hole and ran down the trail well in front of me. I chased after him and at least one yellow jacket chased me. Considering how bad things could have been I ended up only being stung once. Of course Tony didn't get stung at all. In all fairness to Tony he did apologize. But the pain, swelling and itching was worth all the joy and laughter we got from telling and retelling this story. But like Tony and I jokingly said to one another, life in the mountains as we knew it, wasn't for the meek. Rest in peace my wonderful friend, Phyllis and I will greatly miss you.

Dear April, Curtis, Tianna, Kevin, & Kolton,
We are heartbroken to hear of the passing of Tony. I have many fun memories of he and I while working together at KH. Working overlapping shifts made it easy for us to pull pranks on one another, & we both utilized our time to strategize our next move. A lot of our conversations were spent debating politics but, mostly, we talked about our families. And he was very proud of his. Rest easy, my friend.
Each of you remains in our hearts & prayers. Peace be with you all.
Chris & Marie Napolitan

I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain ....
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds and circled flight.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still - in each new dawn.
