Obituary of Luke Michael Ackerman

Luke Michael Ackerman (Luker Pants), Age:10, died August 19th, 2018 in his home in Post Falls, ID. Father: Casey Cosmo Ackerman Mother: Deborah Lynn Cox

Luke was born on December 8th, 2007 in Bakersfield, CA. He moved to the Coeur d'Alene area at the age of eighteen months with his parents in 2008 and has resided there since.

Throughout the course of his ten years, Luke battled a degenerative genetic disease called GM1 Gangliosidosis Type 2, which eventually took his life. Luke loved being read to, Johnny Cash, Batman, slap stick comedy, and anything with wheels that went fast.

He attended North Star Development Center since the age of four and had just stopped going months ago due to his decline in health. Whether you knew him for just a minute or his whole life, Luke's smile and green eyes had a way of making a permanent place in the hearts of so many. With a laugh that lite up the darkest day, he will be sorely missed.

Luke will be joining his grandparents: Thomas and Susan Cox, Aunt: Cheryl Sembach, and Great Grandmother: Mary Decker in heaven.

He is survived by his parents Casey Cosmo Ackerman and Deborah Lynn Cox Age: 37 and 30, sister Montana Lynn Ackerman Age: 9, brother Isaiah James Thomas Ackerman Age: 7, and his grandparents James Lewis Carr and Robyn Amy

Carr Age: 72 and 63.
