Obituary of Terri Ann Shovald

Terri Ann Kovacich-Shovald, 62 devoted mother and loving wife passed away on April 2, 2023 at the Schneidmiller hospice house following a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A celebration of life will be held at Bell Tower Funeral Home 3398 E. Jenalan Ave, Post Falls ID on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Deacon Chris Stewart of St. Pius X officiating. Bell Tower Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Terri was born on 10/23/1960 in Stambaugh Michigan to the late Martin and Violet Kovacich. She attended West Iron County High School graduating the class of 1978. She later proudly went on to earn her teaching degree from the University of Idaho. She taught elementary school in the Lakeland School District for several years. Teaching was her passion, she loved her students and kept in touch with many of them over the years. She was married to Bob Shovald on June, 14 1980. After a stay in Colorado they moved to beautiful Coeur d Alene, ID in 1986. Where together they raised two boys. She loved gardening, camping, the Green Bay Packers and especially her Doberman Pinschers. Her bright eyes and cheerful smile will be greatly missed. Terri is survived by her husband, Bob of Coeur d Alene Idaho. Sons Jon of Post Falls Idaho, Benjamin of Crested Butte, CO and sister Karen Wales of Iron River MI. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Kootenai Health Cancer Services and especially Hospice of North Idaho. Donations may be made to North Idaho Hospice in her memory.
