Obituary of Daniel Lewis Young

Daniel Lewis Young, 74, of Eureka, Montana passed away Sunday, April 9 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Lewis was born August 3, 1948 to Gladys and Woodrow Young in Missouri. Lewis’s lifelong passion for the outdoors began as a child hunting and fishing in the Ozarks. He met his wife, Lynda, in grade school in Republic, Missouri. They married in 1968. Lewis finished his education at Colorado State University with a Master of Science degree in Wildlife Biology. He spent his working career in the western United States with the Forest Service. In retirement he continued giving to natural resource management by volunteering for several organizations. Lewis is survived by his wife, Lynda, of 54 years; son, Will; daughter in law, Jamie; and grandchildren, Taryn and Jake. At his request no funeral will be held.
