Obituary of Lawrence John O'Hare

DR. LAWRENCE J. O'HARE "Larry" 11/13/23 - 1/30/15 Entered into eternal rest, peacefully, surrounded by his family on January 30th, 2015.
Larry was born November 13, 1923 in Spokane, WA to Joseph & Mary O'Hare along with his twin sister to a family of eleven children.
Larry proudly served his country during WWII as a Sargent in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1946. He attended Gonzaga University where he graduated with his BA (he loved his ZAGS), later completing his education at the University of Idaho where he received a PHD in Special Education. Larry retired from Spokane's School District #81 as the Administrator of Special Education in 1979.
Larry was a deeply caring and devoted family man who had a brilliant sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends the most. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of nearly 66 years Aurelie (Lee), son Patrick O'Hare, daughters Lauretta (Laurie) Stanley -(David) and Debra (Debbie) Stanley. Grandchildren Kristin Barlow, Sean Carlson, Noah Stanley, Nathan Stanley and Great Grandchildren, Teegan Carlson, Kinslee Carlson, and Cameron Barlow. Larry is also survived by his sister Lucille Sullivan along with numerous nieces’ and nephews.
A Mass of Celebration will be held at 11:00 am, February 9th, 2015, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish in Rathdrum, ID. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Larry's name to Gonzaga University Alumni Association
