I'm at a loss for words to convey the deep sadness that I feel. I was proud to have a nephew that I might at times mentor and look forward to his growing out of his youth and into manhood. I had the pleasure of getting to know him a bit as he was entering his teens and then we continued our friendship over the phone. I always looked forward to his calls even though they were far too infrequent. I'll always remember Evan's voice and his cheerful attitude. Heartfelt condolences seem to work when it's someone else's family. In this case, in Evan's case, I want you to know that I share in your saddness and pain. I'm sorry that I can't be there to hold you close and tell you it's going to be ok, but know it will for I believe that God has a plan for us all. Hugs and kisses and heart felt tears. Evans memory will live on forever.
