My Dad, Charles, was a great man. He served his time in protecting our country, he was kind and caring despite his rugged personality. He would always scare away the monsters in my room when I was 5 year old. He even retrieved my cat from a very dangerous spot in our house. I will miss him so much but I do know that he is happy in heaven with his Mom. Although I didn't want this to happen, it is a blessing in disguise. He was a hero in many aspects but he also had an abundant amount of body problems and demons lurking around in his head. But we don't remember him for him imperfections and faults, we remember him because he was a man, a man of many roles: Father, Spouse, Roommate, Friend, and the person who could always brighten up a room with his charming smile and corny jokes. As I write this now, my feelings are conflicted, I know my dad is watching over me now along with Jesus, Mary, and my guardian angel. With that knowledge, I will make my dad proud of me, I know he would've wanted me to keep living my life and achieve my goals and dreams. I won't let you down, Dad.
